Our Story

Built by an athlete,
for athletes.

There's a problem no one's solving.

If you're an adult athlete, you already know it. Finding a good game — a real game, with the right skill level, at the right time, near you — is weirdly hard. You're either texting around hoping someone knows a run, scrolling Facebook groups, or showing up somewhere and not knowing what you're walking into.

I've lived that frustration firsthand.

Hi, I'm Brittney.

I'm a former college basketball player, full-time working mom of two, and the founder of FCC Sports Club — a thriving adult basketball and volleyball community across McHenry, Lake & Cook Counties in Illinois.

When I moved to a new area, I couldn't find consistent, quality pickup. So I built it from scratch: one gym, a Facebook group, and a handful of players. FCC took off fast, and what started as a local hoops run has grown into a multi-sport community that draws athletes every single week.

But as FCC grew, I kept running into the same wall — there was no good way for athletes outside FCC to find what we had. And no good way for other organizers running quality sessions to get found.

So I built The Rec Network.

The idea is simple: a single place where adult athletes can find verified, quality drop-in sessions — basketball, volleyball, and beyond — without the guesswork.

Every session listed here is reviewed before it goes live. We verify the organizer, confirm the details, and make sure the skill level and format are accurately represented. No mystery runs. No wasted trips.

This isn't a free-for-all directory. It's a curated network — built by someone who plays, for people who play.
